AUDIOPHILE AUDITION - web magazine for music, audio & home theater
Click on the Audiophile Audition logo for the current issue

Welcome to the 61st issue of the web magazine for audio, music and home theater - transitioned from the former national radio program AUDIOPHILE AUDITION, which was heard for over 13 years on public radio and commercial classical stations coast to coast. We are dedicated to your auditional wellbeing.

This marks the second month of our brand new site design - please let us know what you think of it. [see below] Plus another publishing record of 58 Hi-Res discs - DVD-A & SACD & xrcd - multichannel & stereo - more than any other publication, print or web! Of special interest this month is the first batch of D&G "2+2+2"-format DVD-audios - employing an unusual alternative speaker layout for greater realism with classical music and a much larger "sweet spot." With the video DVDs and standard CDs we have a grand total 145 discs reviewed. Components reviewed are the VPI TNT Jr. Turnable and the Outlaw Audio ICBM Bass Manager. The Survey of the Print Audio and HT Press is updated as current issues come in. Look for our annual Best Discs of the Year List soon.

AUDIOPHILE AUDITION has joined together with SOUNDREPRODUCTION.COM to provide a high-end interactive Net resource for audio information. The site offers discussion on many different audio topics, and we invite our readers to participate in the free forums.

STAFF WRITERS: Dalia Geffen, Donna Dorsett, Max Dudious, Laurence Vittes, Gary Lemco, Tom Gibbs, Brian Bloom, John Henry, Peter Bates, Bob Moon, Calvin Harding Jr., Clay Swartz, John Sunier.
